Is billboard advertising even relevant to my campaign?

To find out, we'll start at the beginning, the definition:

A Billboard is a form of outdoor advertising in which advertisements are displayed on large signs or plaques located along highways, busy streets, or in other high-traffic areas. Designed to attract the attention of passing motorists, pedestrians, or other public audiences.

This mass medium is used for a wide range of products and services. Both to promote local businesses and international brands. Also for various purposes, think of announcing upcoming events, providing directions to the nearest branch, or raising brand awareness.

Fast, impactful outdoor advertising

Billboards are a great way to reach the professionally active population in Belgium. Where they live, commute, work and socialise. Unlike other mass media such as TV or radio, you cannot turn off a billboard.

Looking at the frequency of repetition compared to other media, billboard advertising also scores very highly. Whereas magazines, direct mail and internet ads often disappear after an initial display, a billboard campaign will come into view at least several times during the average campaign period of two weeks from commuting, school traffic.

You only have a few seconds, 5 to be exact, to make someone look at a billboard. So big, bright, eye-catching graphics with one core message are a must to get the desired results.

Billboards are the only medium where the advertiser has complete control over the advertising space. The ad has constant exposure, no other medium offers the ability to display your message 24/7.
